Nichols acquires Dayla Liquid stake

Soft drinks and dispensed cold drinks business Nichols Plc, which deals with sales and marketing of the Vimto brand among others, has acquired 50 per cent of Dayla Liquid Packing.

  • IQ Holdings, the holding company for international business research consultancy company IQ Research, has agreed to acquire three business divisions: Viewpoint Field, Viewpoint Studios and The Wire from rival Illuminas for an initial £750,000 in cash, plus shares worth £250,000
  • Manpower Software, a workforce optimisation software applications provider for global organisations, has agreed to acquire the business and certain assets of Baum Hart & Partners, a provider of integrated software systems, consultancy, training and support services principally to the NHS, for up to £2.2 million.
  • Pearson, an international education and information company, has agreed to acquire Fronter, a European online learning company, from its co-founders Roger Larsen and Bjarne Hadland and other private investors. The terms of the deal were undisclosed.
  • Russian steel producer Novolipetsk Steel has agreed to sell its 69.41 per cent share in OJSC Tuapse Seaport to Universal Cargo Logistics Holding BV. The undisclosed transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in two months
