Genius makes another acquisition to continue offering expansion

Genius Group, an entrepreneur education group, has agreed to buy South Africa-based E-Square Education group.

The agreement is the latest in a series of acquisitions by Genius Group and its second in South Africa, after it acquired Tau Game Lodge, a luxury safari lodge and conference centre in Madikwe Game Reserve.

HealthHero swoops in to gain stake in Doctorlink

HealthHero, a digital health company, has acquired Doctorlink after it bought Eight Roads’ stake in the digital triage provider.

HealthHero operates in the UK, Ireland and Germany, and, with its acquisition of Doctorlink, can now provide online triage and health risk assessment.

The completion of the Doctorlink deal follows HealthHero’s recent acquisition of the Berlin-based telemedicine platform Fernarzt.

Tuber refresh finance deal for another 18 months

Tuber Produce, an independent fresh food wholesaler based in Hessle, East Yorkshire, has renewed its funding facility worth £1m from Bibby Financial Services for a further 18 months, to provide working capital for further growth. The new facility includes invoice finance and foreign exchange support.

Liva gains a healthy £22.1m investment

Liva Healthcare, a European scalable digital health coaching platform, has secured a new funding round of  €24.5m (£22.1m), led by Verlinvest.

The investment will strengthen Liva’s position in digital health and lifestyle coaching in the chronic disease prevention and management sector.

Verlinvest is a privately-owned family investment company based in Brussels with offices in New York, London, and Singapore. The firm’s portfolio includes Oatly, Tony’s Chocolonely, Vita Coco, Vitamin Water, Armonea and Bludental.

Oxbotica moving forwards with global deployment after £34.7m deal

Oxbotica, a global leader in autonomous vehicle software, has completed a $47m (£34.7m) investment round supported by BGF, bp ventures, Halma, HostPlus, IP Group, Tencent, Venture Science, and funds advised by Doxa Partners.

The investment will help Oxbotica commercialise its automotive software and accelerate the company’s global deployment.
