4. Upwork

Upwork is the world’s largest online workplace, making it faster and easier for businesses to find and hire skilled freelancers from around the globe. With the Upwork Messenger App you can keep jobs moving while you’re on the go. The app alerts you when jobs have been accepted or declined, and makes it easy to keep in touch with your freelancers.

5. Skype

Perfect for conference or long-distance calls, helping to control your budget if you are dealing with international clients. What’s more, you can easily send files to colleagues or clients of any size during voice, video or group calls. Users on Windows and Mac can take part in group chats of up to 10 people for free, and the mobile app is a fantastic way to keep in contact on the go.

6. LastPass

How much time have you wasted trying to remember which password goes with what login? LastPass is a password vault and strong password generator in one. Once you have your account synced with your device, LastPass will keep track of all your details for you – no more typing in your mothers maiden name and hoping!

7. newton (formerly called CloudMagic

If you use a few different email services then Newton is a must have app for you. It supports Gmail, iCloud, Exchange and IMAP accounts, amongst others, and brings together your email accounts into one inbox. This app will save you a lot of time flicking between your different email services, and simplify your day.

8. Dropbox

You never know when you are going to need to access a document or a video. Dropbox is the go to cloud storage provider – it’s mobile app means you will always be ‘meeting ready’, even when on the move. It also means that in the event you lose your phone, or misplace your computer your files are all safe waiting to be re-downloaded.

9. LinkedIn

Keeping in contact with business prospects and associates is vital to expanding your business. Everytime you meet someone new connect with them on LinkedIn – you never know when they may become useful.
