Huntress Group, a white-collar recruitment specialist, has been bought by its management with the backing of private equity firm Nomura.

It was sold by Graphite Capital, which backed the original buy-out some seven years ago. The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed, but the firm made a return of 7.6 times on its investment.

A commercial due diligence review of the target business was managed by Tom Armstrong, a director at Armstrong Transaction Services.

Armstrong said Huntress has three distinct divisions and his team had to examine each market to assess the business fully. “We interviewed more than 150 of Huntress’s clients and candidates to ensure we understood the different markets and were aware of any imminent changes in sentiment.”
