Daisy’s chain of acquisitions
Article Date: Feb 02 2009Business telecoms provider Daisy Communications Plc has acquired 3,700 customers from Wiltshire-based 4Com for undisclosed terms.
The Lancashire-based company provides fixed and mobile voice, data and IP, line rental and broadband services to corporates. The deal is the company’s nineteenth to date and worth an estimated £8.4 million in annual revenue.
Steered by CEO Matthew Riley, Daisy has the corporate brief of making further acquisitions and consolidating the communications market with the backing of Bank of Scotland and a £5 million war chest.
Riley said: “Through our proven acquisition model and forthright ambition, we have successfully grown our customer base and given the company a strong foothold for 2009.”
“Daisy operates in a rapidly changing market where customer experience, product choice and value for money are key, and as a company we are determined to provide the best,” he added.
The company has been ranked as one of the fastest growing technology companies in the North West.
It ranked 18 in Deloitte's Fast 50, a ranking of the fast growing technology companies in the UK, based on achieving sustained revenue growth of 1202 per cent.
