Kimberley comes to London

Article Date:  Jul 28 2006

As foreshadowed here in February, Australia's Kimberly Diamonds has started trading today on AIM at 47.5p.

Headed by South African lawyer and musician Miles Kennedy, Aussie-quoted Kimberley is already producing diamonds from Ellendale in Western Australia. Broker Numis has handled the AIM launch for Kimberley, one of whose more promising assets is 51 per cent of another Down Under-quoted concern, Blina Diamonds.

Blina has kimberlite prospective diamond pipes and alluvial diamond prospects in the Ellendale area. Initial drilling results are due next week and fans say they are expected to be good, with promising implications for successive drilling stages.

Whether any corporate moves are on the horizon remains to be seen. Kimberley looks worth a punt.
