Isobar search leads to Thailand deal

Article Date:  Jun 20 2008

Digital marketing company Isobar has continued the international expansion of its search engine marketing business with an acquisition in Thailand. The company, part of marketing group Aegis, has added Globlet to its search specialist agency iProspect following similar acquisitions in Belgium, Holland and Germany this year.

Globlet, a provider of search engine marketing consultancy and technical services for retail, technology, healthcare and real estate companies, will now trade as iProspect Thailand.

The financial details of the transaction are yet to be confirmed, but the value of the assets acquired totalled £100,000.

The deal extends Isobar’s presence in Thailand, where it owns Digithais, a provider of website development, online media, internet marketing, content management and e-commerce services for Coca-Cola, adidas, Honda and Nivea.

Aegis chief executive Robert Lerwill says Thailand’s search market is young and has potential.

iProspect has 18 offices in 15 countries accessed through 69 Isobar sites in 38 locations with some 600 search specialists worldwide.
