Northern and HSBC back KCS

Article Date:  May 20 2005

South London HR solutions business KCS Management Systems (KCS) has become the subject of a secondary buyout financed by Northern Venture Managers (NVM) and HSBC.

KCS, which develops HR and payroll software and is a provider of outsourcing services, has over 500 clients and has been voted Pay Magazine ‘Payroll Software Provider of the Year’ for the last four years and is also the current winner of ‘Payroll Outsourcer of the Year’.

Alongside the buyout, two experts in the outsourcing field, Andrew McErlain and DP Sahni have joined the board to help exploit the growing trend towards outsourcing human resource administrative functions.

’I am delighted to have this opportunity to maintain the highly successful growth of KCS,’ enthused KCS CEO Alan Snell, who has presided over the company’s growth. ‘The introduction of Andrew and DP to the board, along with the support from NVM, puts KCS in an enviable position to take advantage of the growing industry trend of outsource services while developing and maintaining its award winning software products.’

’KCS has an impressive reputation for both its software products and HR outsourcing services,’ commented Jonny Allatt, who led the transaction for NVM. ‘Alan and his team have been responsible for building an excellent track record over the last few years. The addition to the team of Andrew and DP will put the business in an excellent position for future expansion.’
