The FSB wants Sugar fired from his post

The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has called for the resignation of enterprise tsar Sir Alan Sugar following remarks he made about bank lending.

The star of BBC show The Apprentice reportedly said that only 15 per cent of businesses turned down for bank loans had anything to complain about, while the rest were ‘moaners’ who ‘lived in Disney World’.

FSB national chairman John Wright says the comments are extremely disappointing, adding, ‘Despite being appointed by the Government to champion business in the UK, Lord Sugar seems to have no grasp of the hard work small businesses do and the role they play in contributing to more than half of UK GDP.’

Wright continues, ‘Lord Sugar appears to have let his TV personality from The Apprentice take over and the language he has used to describe this country’s small business owners is hardly appropriate given his current role.’

The FSB’s complaints about Sugar are not confined to his latest comments about business lending. Wright claims, ‘Members of the FSB have been in touch to complain about Lord Sugar’s recent performances around the country and we have to call that he resign from his position.’

Sugar attracted controversy after accepting a government role while continuing to star in the BBC's high-profile business programme.

Dear Growth Business Team,

You have to wonder how a tin pot politician could have elected this man to be the countries 'Business Tsar'? Quite apart from seeing the worth of AMSTRAD decline about 90% from it's peak valuation, he is the man responsible for cluttering the buildings of this country with over priced dustbin lids.

I think quite right that his epitaph should come back to haunt this horrid egotist. Your fired Sir Alan.

I was actually at the meeting the other day when he said the thing about 15% of small busiensses having nothing to complain about. the man has no idea about small business in this country at all.
He also, in the same meeting agreed with a lady about registering a second company to avoid VAT! This is highly illegal and I went and told her afterwards, poor woman might have gone ahead!
He spent the entire meeting being his TV persona, arrogant and quite simply wrong.
He should be sacked NOW,
