Early-stage and growth investor Octopus Investments is seeking £25 million for its Titan 4 venture capital trust (VCT).
The firm expects to invest the money in 20 to 30 unquoted companies with a typical deal size of £200,000 to £1 million.
Octopus Titan VCTs 1, 2 and 3 raised more than £50 million between them. Alex Macpherson, MD of Octopus Ventures, says now is an ‘exciting time to be investing’.
Adds Macpherson, ‘Octopus Titan 4 will seek similar investments to those of the previous Titan funds, investing in businesses that radically change and improve the way industries operate and businesses that provide an innovative and easy service or product for consumers.’
Previous investments have included Calastone, which provides processing services to the mutual fund industry, and consumer property website Zoopla.
