David Beale, the former director of Huntingdon-based print company Astron, has led an MBO at Manchester-based print management company Print Search.

David Beale, the former director of Huntingdon-based print company Astron, has led an MBO at Manchester-based print management company Print Search. The deal was backed by Royal Bank of Scotland.

Print Search supplies printing and direct mail services for customers, such as Manchester United, Royal Bank of Scotland and Yate’s Wine Bar. The company has been in business for 35 years and has an annual turnover of some £7.5 million.

Beale, who hasn’t divulged the financial terms of the deal, acquired the full business and assets of the company from founder Grant Hendry, who is staying on as non-executive chairman.

Beale has worked in print management since 1996 and has been a director at various print companies. He commented: “The MBO made good business sense. I plan to build on what I have inherited and ensure that we deliver the right solutions and allow our clients to focus on their core business.”
