Deal Round-up (20.05.2008)

Engineering and construction firm Balfour Beatty has acquired German engineer Schreck-Mieves GmbH for €36 million (£28.4 million) and Travelzest has purchased Canadian cruise specialist The Cruise Professionals.

Engineering and construction firm Balfour Beatty plc has acquired German engineer Schreck-Mieves a for €36 million (£28.4 million)

Travelzest plc, a travel group offering specialist travel programmes, has purchased the Canadian luxury cruise retailer The Cruise Professionals for up to CAD 14.5 million (£7.25 million)

Aegis Group plc, a marketing communications group, has bought marketing consultancy Globlet in Thailand for £100,000

Windmill Housing Association and Manchester Methodist Housing Association have merged to create a combined housing management group (Source: Blackpool Gazette)
