Deals Round-up (14.02.08)

In the latest deals headlines Quotient BioResearch has purchased drug development specialist BioDynamics and Thomas Cook Group has agreed to acquire online bed bank hotels4U.com for £21.8 million

Done deals:

· Accountancy firm Thomas Westcott has merged with Devon duo, Torquay’s Park Holding & Smith and north Devon’s Davison Bedworth, to expand its regional offering

· WH Butler & Sons (Founders) has bought Victoria Fabrications, an aluminium and copper castings business based in Chesterfield, with funding from Royal Bank of Scotland in an effort to expand its operational base

· Quotient BioResearch, a provider of safety evaluations to the bioscience industries, has purchased drug development specialist BioDynamics in a move that grows its revenues to over £35 million

· Dews Motor Group, a main dealer for Vauxhall and Alfa Romeo, has undergone a third-generation management buy-out backed by Barclays

· Leisure travel giant Thomas Cook Group has agreed to acquire hotels4U.com from Centurion Holiday Group for £21.8 million in a bid to strengthen its position in the independent travel sector

my problem was not that you take advertising, but that the advert obstructed the editorial copy...! i.e. one couldn't read the editorial. it could be 'cos i am using Mozilla as mt internet browser?
