Silverstone network is Go Go Go!

Oxford Innovation – the firm behind existing business angel networks in the Oxfordshire and Thames Valley regions – plans to launch a new investment vehicle in late February. The Silverstone Investment Network will back expanding technology businesses in and around Northamptonshire.
Set for launch on Wednesday 22 February, the new network will focus on technology businesses, especially those addressing the motorsport industry. ‘Silverstone represents the heart of motorsport in the UK and is therefore home to a raft of innovative technologies, many of which have wider applications than just racing,’ states Oxford Innovation chief executive Dr David Kingham.
It is anticipated that high-tech businesses in the region will be able to raise anywhere between £50,000 and £1 million via the new network. A total of five companies are expected to present to around 100 investors on the first night, which will also feature an address from Formula 1 legend Sir Jackie Stewart.
