Emailvision acquires smartFOCUS

AIM-listed smartFOCUS has been acquired by US-based Emailvision Holdings in a deal valued at £25.3 million.

Emailvision, which has offices in the UK, provides software for email, mobile and social marketing, while smartFOCUS supplies email and multi-channel market software and services.

Bristol-headquartered smartFOCUS works for companies such as Fat Face, The Guardian, Hotpoint and EMI to provide ‘intelligent marketing’ for consultancy and data selection services.

Under the terms of the deal Emailvision has purchased 51.7 per cent of the issued shares of smartFOCUS for 25 pence in cash each, a 61.3 per cent premium on the closing price of shares on 8 April.

Emailvision has clients including IKEA, Disney, The Body Shop, Hermes and Intel.
