Educated buy for Lumesse with Edvantage

Talent management software provider Lumesse has completed the acquisition of Norweigen software-as-a-service (SaaS) education company Edvantage Group for an undisclosed amount.


Talent management software provider Lumesse has completed the acquisition of Norweigen software-as-a-service (SaaS) education company Edvantage Group for an undisclosed amount.

Talent management software provider Lumesse has completed the acquisiton of Norweigen software-as-a-service (SaaS) education company Edvantage Group for an undisclosed amount.   

The acquisition accelerates the global growth of UK-headquartered Lumesse and vastly grows its European market share. It also extends the company’s product set and increases its customer base by over 200 new companies to a total of more than 1,900 in 70 countries worldwide.   

The combined business will have close to 2,000 customers worldwide and will lead to about two million active users of the group’s technology following the completion of the acquisition, according to a statement from Lumesse.   

Matthew Parker, chief executive at Lumesse, says since the initial announcement of the acquisition in early October, the two companies have been working on integration plans as well as joint commercial opportunities.   

He continues: ‘The market reception for this acquisition has been excellent, with strong interest from customers on both sides. Our intention is to bring the capabilities of the Edvantage products quickly into our Lumesse TalentLink and Lumesse ETWeb integrated talent management solutions.

‘Learning and development are increasingly seen as key components of an effective talent management strategy, by helping to retain great people, develop their careers and build increased business contribution.’   

Lumesse provides corporate clients with the content and delivery platforms for formal, informal, social and mobile learning for employees.  

Edvantage provides similar products using cloud-based technology. The company’s clients include Virgin Atlantic, 7-Eleven, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Sony Ericsson, SEB and the UK’s Ministry of Justice, and has offices in the UK, the Nordic regions and across continental Europe.
