Andrew is director of the Centre for Management Buy-out Research (CMBOR), the leading provider of analysis and information on the UK and European buy-out markets.
Prior to joining CMBOR in 1999, Andrew worked in the high-performance composites industry, spending many years as technical and commercial director in several SMEs, including involvement in a management buy-in as a member of the incoming management team.Andrew is a chartered engineer with an engineering degree from Oxford University and an MBA from Nottingham University Business School.
Magnus Goodlad | Chief Operating Officer, IP Group
Magnus has worked for IP Group since 2004, following the company’s acquisition of Top Technology Ventures.
He joined Top Technology Ventures, IP Group’s venture capital fund management subsidiary, in 2000 after four and a half years with Slaughter and May at which he practised a wide range of corporate and finance law. Magnus has a first-class degree in law from Oriel College, Oxford.
Tom Price | Director of Corporate Finance, Evolution Securities
Tom has advised companies in the UK small- and mid-cap equity capital markets since 1990.He has been involved in a wide range of transactions for companies on the Official List, TechMARK and AIM as well as for private companies, in a variety of sectors.
He has particular experience of IPOs, secondary fundraisings, public bids, acquisitions and disposals.
Jack Clipsham | Partner, BDO Stoy Hayward
Jack Clipsham is responsible for BDO Stoy Hayward’s corporate finance services, inbound and outbound, in relation to East and South-East Asia. These include company flotations, due diligence, pre-IPO/PE funding and cross-border M&A. Having completed the first AIM float of a Chinese business in September 2004, he has now completed a further nine IPOs of Chinese businesses and is currently involved with projects in Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China and Hong Kong. He has also acted as reporting accountant on AIM listings of businesses based in Israel, Switzerland, Germany and the USA.
Chilton Taylor | Baker Tilly
Chilton Taylor is a Partner, Head of Capital Markets and is the main Corporate Finance spokesperson at Baker Tilly. He is a graduate of Cambridge University (where he gained a cricket blue) and qualified as an accountant at KPMG in 1977. He has over 25 years of corporate finance experience specialising in flotations, due diligence and fund raising,
and has acted on over 80 flotations.
Chilton is a specialist on AIM IPOs and is the only accountant invited to the AIM Advisory Group of the London Stock Exchange. He is an acknowledged specialist in the VCT and EIS legislation and author of "A Guide to AIM Tax Benefits" - a joint publication of Baker Tilly and the London Stock Exchange.
Wol Kolade | Managing Partner, ISIS Equity Partners
Wol Kolade joined ISIS Equity Partners in January 1993. He has overall responsibility for strategic development and active involvement in investments. After obtaining an MBA from Exeter University, he spent three years with Barclays in various head office roles before joining ISIS. Wol is also a council member and past chairman of the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association. He is a non-executive director of the Social Finance Board
and also a governor and council member of the London School of Economics, chairing its audit committee.
