Technology company Morse has been acquired by IT services group 2e2 for £69.8 million.

The deal will see 2e2 almost double in size and bring expected annual revenues to £414 million.

Berkshire-based 2e2 employs 1,300 staff across the UK, Benelux, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man and sales for the year ending 2008 hit £194 million.

Founded in 1983, Morse is an IT services and technology company with four operating divisions in the UK, Europe, the US and Asia. The London-based company posted revenues of over £211 million in the last financial year.

Terry Burt, CEO of the 2e2 group comments that the acquisition represents a significant step forward in 2e2’s operational and strategic development.
